By completing this consent form, you acknowledge that you have read this notice and consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal information (or that of the minor you represent) for the purposes set out below.
01 Purpose of collection
Lowveld Padel collects personal information for legitimate league and event administration purposes, including:
- Player registration and participation records
- Fixture scheduling, rankings, and results management
- Communication via email, phone call, SMS, or messaging platforms
- Emergency contact and player welfare purposes
- Junior participant safeguarding and parent/guardian communication
- Awards, prizes, recognition, and league announcements
- Operational planning and event management
- Photography and video content (subject to consent section below)
02 Information we may collect
Depending on the registration type, we may collect:
- Full name and surname
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Age or date of birth
- Gender (where relevant to event categories)
- Emergency contact details
- Parent / guardian details for minors
- Team / division / ranking information
- Any information voluntarily provided in this form
03 Minors (participants under 18)
Where a participant is under the age of 18, this form must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. By submitting this form, you confirm that:
- You are the lawful parent or legal guardian of the minor participant
- You consent to the collection and processing of the minor's personal information
- You consent to communication relating to fixtures, safety, welfare, and participation
04 Photography & social media consent
Lowveld Padel may capture photographs or video during matches, leagues, tournaments, prize-givings, and related events for results reporting, highlights, historical records, and promotion of the sport.
05 Sharing of information
Lowveld Padel does not sell personal information. Information may only be shared:
- With service providers assisting with league operations or administration
- Where required by law or lawful request
- Where necessary to protect health or safety in emergencies
- Where you have separately consented
06 Retention of information
Personal information will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for league administration, record-keeping, dispute resolution, safeguarding, or legal compliance.
07 Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
- Object to certain processing where permitted by law
- Request deletion or destruction where legally applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
08 Security
Lowveld Padel takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
